paddington

Transformed for its original owner by Archer Design from an almost derelict shell, the complete redesign of this small three level terrace house in Paddington has been a popular project in our portfolio since it was first designed in 1994.

To maximise the feeling of space, the floor plan is off-skew with an axial line running through its core that opens the home to garden on each level, avoiding the impact a large warehouse wall at the rear of the site. Shafts of daylight enter from small skylights that punctuate through three level voids, created spaces left by the off-centre plan.

Its clean, finely crafted design and simple palette of materials belies its age and is a clear example of our belief that true style is timeless and good design never date.
